Russia isn't exactly in our region of MENA, but Sochi and the Winter Olympics are being talked about all over the world since the games started a few days ago
Almost immediately, my twitter stream and facebook became filled with comments about what a "hot mess" the winter games are.
Reporters are reporting hotels that aren't finished construction, rooms that are considered too small, and sink water that's undrinkable.
I could go into farther detail, but to be honest, THIS person said exactly what I've been thinking.
The article is called, #SochiProblems Is More of An Embarrassment For America Than It Is For Russia and it couldn't be more right.
Yellow drinking water isn't a joke. Those are the conditions that the people of Sochi live with every day and I'm sure it's much more of a problem for them than for the athletes and Olympic fans just passing through. Drinkable sink water from is a luxury that most countries in Asia don't have. It's ridiculous that the host countries are put under so much pressure to meet invisible standards held by the developed world.
I could keep ranting, but Sarah Kaufman did it so well already.
One more thing though....
was this really necessary?

Johnny Quinn claims he got stuck in the bathroom and had to bulldoze his way out because he didn't have his phone.
Really, did he have to destroy the door? Or was there maybe a surge of testosterone? I don't know but I have suspicions.
